Prepare these splendid recipes at home and celebrate July 4.

American Apple Pie

Ingredients:
1) Pastry for 9-inch double-crust pie.
2) Sugar - 1/3 to 2/3 cup.
3) All purpose flour - 1/4 cup.
4) Nutmeg - 1/2 teaspoon, grounded.
5) Cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon, grounded.
6) Apples - 8, thinly sliced and pared tart.
7) Margarine/butter - 2 tbsp.
8) A pinch of salt.

Also needed:
1) A large mixing bowl.
2) A pastry-lined pie plate.
3) A 3" foil strip.

Instructions:
1) Turn over oven temperature to 425 degrees.
2) Pour sugar, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt into the mixing bowl and combine well.
3) Add in apples and stir.
4) Transfer the ingredients to a pastry-lined pie plate and dot with margarine.
5) Cover with top crust that has been cut with slits. Seal and flute.
6) Use foil strip to cover the edge and prevent it from being excessively browned.
7) Bake the pie for close to an hour or until crust is brown and juice starts to bubble through its slits.
NOTE: Take the foil strip away during last 15 minutes of baking.

Barbecued Lamb Leg

Ingredients:
1) Macaroni - 2 cups.
2) Low-fat Sour Cream - 8 oz. carton.
3) Skimmed milk - 1/2 cup.
4) Dill - 1 tbsp., fresh and minced.
5) Vinegar - 1 tbsp.
6) Salt - 1/2 tsp. 7) Black Pepper - 1/2 tsp. freshly grounded.
8) Cucumber - 2 cups, peeled and chopped.
9) Tomatoes - 1 cup, chopped and with seeds removed.

Also needed:
1) A large plastic bag.
2) A serving platter.

Instructions:
1) Trim and split a whole leg of lamb. Remove the bone out of it.
2) Prepare the marinade and apply overnight.
3) Grill the meat as much as you want.
4) Slice the meat to serve.
5) Cover the meat in tortillas or flatbreads with leaves of butter lettuce.
6) Combine hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, green onions, mushroom soy sauce, garlic, honey, sesame oil, sesame seeds, white pepper and black pepper in the plastic bag.
7) Place lamb in the bag and seal its mouth.
8) Turn the bag over to coat the lamb thoroughly.
9) Chill the covered lamb for 8 hours or overnight.
10) Preheat grill to HIGH.
11) Oil the grill grate.
12) Take the lamb out of the marinade and place on the grill.
13) Cook the lamb on each side for 15 minutes, to a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees F (63 degrees C), or until it is done.
14) Place the meat on a serving platter. Let it rest for about 1/2 hour. Slice and serve.

Cool Lemon Ice Cream

Ingredients:
1) Lemons - 8.
2) Sugar - 3 cups.
3) Milk - 1/2 gallon.

Also needed:
1) An ice cream maker.
2) Ice and rock salt(for ice cream maker).

Instructions:
1) Squeeze 4 lemons to extract juice into bowl.
2) Cut the other lemons into thin slices and toss them over the juice in bowl.
3) Add in sugar and mix well.
4) Pour the mixture into ice cream tin.
5) Add in milk and stir.
6) Put ice and rock salt in container surrounding tin, not into juice mixture.
7) Let ice cream maker mix and freeze mixture.
8) Allow half-an-hour to pass. The ice cream will be ready by this time.
9) Refrigerate and serve.
